NaPoWriMo Day 4 - Traiku

Traiku

Waves across the lake
a gaggle of honking geese
skimming the surface

and mallard couples
heads underwater, tails up
bobbing like buoys

water's edge, young boy
welcoming the start of spring
fishing pole in hand

  1. I like this one! Not so much yesterday's; but you know me and rhymed poetry; I think it's very hard to pull off in this day and age.

    1. I can agree, some of the word choice yesterday was also quite week, and some of the rhymes were, I will admit, forced. The problem with writing a poem a day is that there is less time to really work out the best words to use.

I also agree about rhyming poetry in general, it really has to be well done and oft times it is not. William Blake's The Tyger is probably one of my personal favorites when it comes to rhyming poetry
